Flow, Feel & Heal: Sound Healing and NeuroSomatic Flow
About this Event

NeuroSomatic Flow™ and Sound Healing are both modalities of somatic healing. In this innovative program you will be learning and experiencing how these two modalities can be combined to promote mind body connection and energetic healing. These practices will help you learn new ways to feel more grounded and connected to yourself and others through movement, vibration and sound. This program is led by two experienced therapists who are certified in these modalities.

At the heart of our event series is the desire to create a strong sense of connection to self as well as to experience the power of shared experiences and the joy of connecting with other like-minded individuals. We aspire to bring people together and nurture meaningful connections.

We hope that people will sign up to come to several if not all of the events! See below for special pricing packages.

NeuroSomatic Flow™

The “flow arts” is a rapidly emerging field proving to be one of the most powerful transformative and healing somatic practices. It utilizes movement, dance, and props, and when combined it becomes exercise for the brain, making it more healthy, functionally better, and longer lasting. Studies have shown that just five minutes a day of “juggling” or “dance” movement will increase brain mass, synaptic connectivity, reduce anxiety, and help overcome depression.

In this part of the session we will be utilizing poi. “Poi is a performing art and also the name of the equipment used for its performance. As a skill toy, poi is an object or theatrical prop used for dexterity play or an object manipulation. As a performance art, poi involves swinging tethered weights through a variety of rhythmical and geometric patterns.” In this class participants will learn simple poi moves that they can expand on. This is not a poi skills class, but a class to learn how to utilize poi as a therapeutic tool.

The goal is to help individuals learn about the fundamentals of neuroscience and flow movement while having fun!

By using the medicine of flow, clients have reported the following results:

Find relief from anxiety, depression and self-sabotage

Unlock creative FLOW

Manifest financial wealth & abundance

Let go of past trauma of almost any kind

Sound Healing

A method of healing that helps us create energetic balance. Sound healing utilizes frequency and vibration to heal the mind, the body and the spirit. Sound healing aims to help release energetic blockages or emotions within the body and achieve harmony and balance in the body. It is believed that emotions and energy that are stuck are the main cause of dis-ease in the human body.

The human body is made up of 75% water and water is a fantastic conductor for vibration. In sound healing, we use instruments with particular frequencies to help the body to clear stuck energy and help unexpressed emotions to be released. The most common instruments are crystal quartz bowls, Tibetan metal bowls, tuning forks, chimes and gongs.

Our cells contain silica, which helps in the production of collagen in our bodies. Crystal quartz bowls also contain silica and the sounds emitted from the bowls or the notes that are played have the ability to help clear energetic blockages and align your chakras using the vibrations.

The body and mind are healthy when they vibrate in harmony. When you play a singing bowl, the vibrations cause your body to emit alpha and theta brain waves in synchronicity with the vibrations emanating from your singing bowl. These brainwaves are essential to healing the body and mind.

Benefits of Sound Healing:

Sound healing triggers the relaxation response and the parasympathetic nervous system. Singing bowls have incredible healing effects and are widely recommended by health practitioners. The vibrations created by a singing bowl benefit the body by:

Reducing stress and anxiety

Stimulating the immune system

Increasing energy levels

Eliminating anger and lowering blood pressure

Improving circulation and blood flow

Promoting deep relaxation

Inhibiting and relieving pain

Reducing negative energy and emotions

Strengthening intuition

Improving sleep
