Aylin and Raul have graciously accepted to add a workshop to their trip here at Prism Arts. We are very excited about it.
Aylin will be teaching those wonderful dance moves while Raul will be playing his guitar on the background for an authentic live flamenco-performance feel to this workshop.
Comfortable clothes and shoes with a steady heel would be good and a long flowing skirt for those who want to wear it.
Doors open at 5pm, come grab a drink and socialize. Workshop starts at 5.30.pm .
About the Artists
Aylin Bayaz, contemporary Flamenco dancer based in Sitges, Spain. She trained at the Amor De Dios studios and performed in “tablaos flamencos” in Madrid, and later moved to Barcelona to complete her MA in Dance at the Institute of the Arts in 2018. Her duo show “Flamencodanza” -Best show of dance and physical theatre, Hollywood Fringe 2022, Fringe 2023 Award for Artistic Merit, was premiered in Avignon, France in 2021. She has toured internationally as a solo dancer accompanied by excellent Flamenco artists e.g. Antonio Sánchez, nephew of late Paco de Lucía. She has taught Flamenco courses at the Institute if the Arts Barcelona and the MOVEIT Show, London.
Raul Mannola, Buenos Aires 1963, is a Flamenco guitarist with a jazz background, he studied with flamenco guitar master Manolo Sanlúcar. He has dedicated more than 30 years to the study of flamenco guitar and released 10 solo albums. The album “Clear Dawn” with his Jazz fusion group “Aurora Clara” received excellent reviews internationally. He worked as a flamenco guitar teacher at the Madrid Music Conservatory during 10 years.
