Please note: This year we will go through registrations and give the first round of feedback on April 12th if we can offer you a place or not. We will accept some participants that has always been with us, some that has never been with us, some from other countries, and as always: aim to allow a broad range of role balanced participants.

Do you enjoy dancing tango amidst fjords and mountains, and indulge in beautiful scenery and social atmosphere with tango friends from cities and countryside? In this case, FjordTango offers the perfect opportunity for you. The feedback from participants of FjordTango 2023, 2024 and 2025 is best summarised in just one word: “Fantastic”.
FjordTango takes place in the village of Sandane, which is the administration center of our Gloppen municipality. Our beloved fjord, “Nordfjord” is one of Norway’s beautiful fjords, situated in the northwestern part of Norway. The charming old town hall of «Vonheim» will provide a good dancing floor and a warm atmosphere inside the one hundred year old framework of the walls.
We wish to tempt you with pleasant dancing experiences, guided excursions in lovely scenery with spectacular views, tasting local food from award winning local businesses, such as «Påldtun», «Gardsbrenneriet» and «Kandal kjøt». We can facilitate a maximum of 100 dancers, and we arrange for a balanced number of followers and leaders. We have always been fully booked.
MILONGA
There will be 23 hours of milongas from Friday to Sunday including a premilonga on Thursday. Fruit, snacks and drinks will be catered during all indoor events. The participants can also enjoy two warm meals (included) together throughout the weekend.
During Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday milongas, excellent DJs will create a magic atmosphere. More info will follow as the event approaches!
What do we want for our milongas at FjordTango?
- a friendly, relaxed and welcoming atmosphere
- that people feel included.
- that you invite both well-known and new people to dance.
- that you use cabaceo and mirada when you invite.
- that the dancers follow the ronda, pay attention to the other couples on the floor, so that everyone feels they are taken care of.

PRICE AND REGISTRATION
Price: NOK 3.600 for a couple. NOK 1.800 for single (includes all milongas, snacks, coffee and tea, two hot meals, tasting of local fruit, food and drinks, and maybe more)
