Fishing for Wellness
Are you ready to explore new pathways to health and wellness? The NWT Pathways to Wellness initiative is a transformative project designed to foster holistic well-being through culturally grounded, on-the-land experiences. Our upcoming ice fishing event in Yellowknife offers participants a chance to connect with the land, engage in meaningful discussions led by community Elders, and embrace traditional wellness practices throuch ice fishing, trapping and fur harvesting workshops. This experience will be held over two single-day events, allowing flexibility for attendees to join on their preferred day.
Through activities such as ice fishing, netting, smudging, and Elder-led sharing circles, we aim to provide a deeply impactful journey that promotes physical, mental, and spiritual health. This is more than just an event – it’s an opportunity to transform your approach to wellness and build stronger, healthier communities.
