First Thursday on May 7 is packed! We’re kicking off the evening on Boyd Plaza with Taal & Rhythms, a stunning showcase of Indian classical and folk dance led by Anupama Dasgupta. Then the Armed Services Veterans Band of Columbia takes the stage, bringing 40 veterans and a combined 500 years of military service to deliver powerhouse patriotic and traditional band music. Close out the night with Charleston indie-pop duo Babe Club — their cinematic, emotionally charged sound just earned their latest album Ruin My Life the #2 spot in South Carolina.
At the 1400 block, come soul line dance with Frank and his line dance crew!
At the 1600 block pocket park, catch a Color Flow Experience with Rockelle Love & Rá and Friends.
Bites provided by La Cochinita and Mary’s Arepas. Beer & wine provided by Transmission Arcade.
Admission is free. Come experience the best of Columbia’s art, music, culture, and community… all on one street!
Mark your calendar, bring your friends, and make Main Street your Thursday night tradition.
