About this Event
Finding Who You Are Beyond the Multicultural Lens is a grounded two-day workshop for mixed-race, mixed-heritage, and multicultural adults exploring identity, ancestry, belonging, and healing.
This weekend is for those who want to explore the richness and complexity of their identity more deeply, reconnect with a stronger sense of self, and honour both the pain and the power within their lineage. Held in a confidential, trauma-informed, and carefully supported space, the workshop is designed to help participants feel safe enough to reflect, connect, and explore their experiences with honesty and care.

Your Guides
The weekend will be guided and facilitated by Gary Baron and Jamila Andersson, two experienced mixed-race psychotherapists whose work is rooted in mixed-race, mixed-heritage, and multicultural identity, ancestry, belonging, and healing. Gary Baron is a psychotherapist, shamanic healer, Reiki Master, and advanced EFT practitioner. Jamila Andersson is an integrative psychotherapist, transpersonal practitioner, facilitator, and co-founder of MixedMentalHealth.com, whose work brings together psychotherapy, ancestral wisdom, and creative imagination. Together, they bring both professional experience and lived understanding to this work, creating a grounded, culturally sensitive space for reflection, healing, and deeper self-discovery. As mixed-heritage individuals themselves, Gary and Jamila have personally navigated many of the complexities and questions that inform this workshop. Their lived connections to multiple cultures and ancestral lineages help foster deep trust, empathy, and relatability with participants.
