The Auckland Goethe Society invites you to a Film Screening of the 2019 award winning German drama film, When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit (Als Hitler das rosa Kaninchen stahl), directed by Caroline Link. The film was kindly supplied by the Goethe Institut.
Before the film screening, a Special General Meeting (SGM) will be held for the purpose of changing the Auckland Goethe Society's year dates to line up with the calendar year.
Synopsis:
Based on the international best-selling children's book and semi-autobiographical novel by Judith Kerr, a Jewish family flees Berlin on the evening of the election in 1933. They initially settle in Zürich before moving to Paris, and finally, to London.
