About this Event
Hosted by Morris+Company since 2021, #FightClub is a fast, friendly debating series bringing experts together to explore contemporary urban issues with a live, participatory audience.
This edition, Whose Heritage Is It Anyway?, forms part of our exhibition programme for FROM THE QUARTER TO THE MORTAR: The Story of 15 Norton Folgate, a heritage building that drew intense scrutiny.
The debate examines how heritage is contested, subjective, and constantly reinterpreted. From vocal communities to perceptions of indifferent developers, it asks whether there is ever a single βrightβ approach to conservation, when buildings - like people - live many different lives.
Doors open at 6pm, arm yourself for battle with a beer or two. Join us in the ring for a 6.45pm kick-off.
This is a not-for-profit event. We ask attendees to donate an amount of their choosing which goes to our local charity partners Made In Hackney. While there is no set entry fee, we recommend a minimum contribution of Β£5.00 per guest.
