In the world-renowned multicultural metropolis, New York City’s Manhattan, where dreams and realities intertwine, every corner hums with its own unique rhythm. It is here that “青松 PINEASE” was born, embarking on a journey from musical premieres to cross-disciplinary exchanges, continually exploring new possibilities in human connection. This year-end musical feast centers on unrestrained artistry and expression, featuring dazzling solos, duets, and piano concertos. From the violin’s lively dialogue to the piano’s soaring leaps, each melody flows seamlessly between technical precision and emotional depth, delivering awe and delight to the audience. More than just a concert, it’s a vibrant social gathering filled with passion and energy. As the New Year approaches, a diverse audience comes together to experience the unique charm of music and embrace the challenges and aspirations of 2025.
From Solemn to Splendid: The Multifaceted Display of Solos
The concert will open with Vitali's Chaconne, a timeless masterpiece that leads the audience into a solemn and majestic musical realm with its profound melodies and rich emotional layers. Following this, Liszt’s Mephisto Waltz No. 3 will bring dazzling virtuosity and fervent passion to the stage, showcasing the piano’s ultimate speed and tension. Saint-Saëns’ arrangement of Caprice on Waltz Etudes adds an elegant waltz rhythm, blending exquisite technique with lively violin melodies, adding a touch of splendor to the showcase.
A Playful yet Profound Encounter: The Dynamic Duo
Shostakovich’s Three Duets will present a unique auditory experience through the collaboration of two violins and piano. These pieces interweave lighthearted melodies with profound emotional undertones, striking a delicate balance between humor and drama. The seamless synergy between the three musicians will infuse the compositions with a vibrant life, offering a rich and layered musical journey.
A Peak of Harmonious Dialogue: From Poignant to Vibrant
The concert will conclude with two of Berio’s Duetti. The first duet is solemn and grand, while the third exudes a lively and spirited charm. These pieces not only highlight the expressive power of violins across contrasting styles but also beautifully capture the essence of the Franco-Belgian school through the intricate dialogue and interplay of the two violins. This captivating performance will bring the concert to a resonant close, leaving the audience with unforgettable musical memories.
