The Festival of Stories is a vibrant celebration dedicated to the rich tapestry of storytelling that thrives within our local community. This free event brings together an eclectic mix of seasoned storytellers, emerging voices, and passionate listeners for a day filled with tales that span generations, cultures, and experiences. Attendees will be treated to live storytelling sessions, which cater for a wide range of audiences. On the day you can explore poetry, spoken word, folklore, Bristol voices, children's storytelling and queer stories. In addition to the storytelling sessions, the event will feature interactive workshops where participants can hone their writing skills, learn the art of zine making and take part in free craft activities. There will also be stalls filled with bookish crafts, local indie authors and local publishers in attendance.
Part of the fun is that we encourage all staff and attendees to dress as their favourite book character for the day! With our handcrafted props and décor, we aim to create the ultimate fairy-tale experience.
