Just in time to commemorate Fela Kuti's birthday, you are invited to join us for the exclusive launch event celebrating the release of the new graphic novel that vividly reimagines the life of the Nigerian musical genius, political agitator, and father of Afrobeat. Come to to be transported to the Fela's universe and its epicentre, Lagos. Groove to his iconic tunes, enjoy Nigerian street food, view artwork from the graphic novel, "Fela: Music is the Weapon" and sit down for a talk with its creators, artist Jibola Fagbamiye and writer Conor McCreery. The $10 entrance fee is applied as a $10 discount if you decide to purchase the book.
