What is it?

A practical, confidence-boosting introduction to freelancing. This session demystifies what freelancing really looks like, explores the opportunities and realities, and helps participants see freelancing as a viable, legitimate career path. Learners will connect with others, share motivations, and start building the confidence needed to take their first steps.

Who's leading this workshop?

This session will be led by Matt Dowling from . Matt Dowling boasts a decade of extensive experience as a freelance photographer, complemented by 15-years spearheading businesses that provide crucial support to freelancers. Widely regarded as a prominent figure in the industry, Matt has over 10,000 hours training, coaching, and consulting individuals in this arena. Matt has delivered talks and workshops at universities, prominent institutions, and prestigious events. His insights have garnered recognition in renowned publications including the FT, the Guardian, Forbes, Huffington Post, the BBC, and LBC, among other esteemed media outlets, radio programs, and podcasts.
