About this Event

Fashion Futures: How Technology is Redefining Creativity is the introductory event in a new fashion-tech series curated by The Fashion Law Edit.

This event offers a forward-looking snapshot of how technology is reshaping the creative process from design to digital storytelling and what we can expect as we move into 2026. Blending insight, conversation, and hands-on exploration, this event is for anyone interested in the intersection of fashion, innovation, and law.

We’ll be joined by three exciting voices shaping today’s creative landscape:

Sam Tweedie - Sam Tweedie is the Co-Founder of SEWN Digital Fashion, a digital fashion agency helping brands modernise the way they design, sell and market products. With over 20 years’ experience in design and management across menswear and kidswear, Sam has held senior roles, including Head of Design, working across design and product development for global fashion brands.

In 2022, Sam co-founded SEWN after witnessing first-hand the scale of waste, inefficiency and time pressure built into traditional fashion systems. Through SEWN, he helps brands reduce waste and speed up processes by using 3D and AI fashion technology across product development, wholesale and e-commerce — blending creativity with more sustainable, future-facing ways of working.

Benita Nwagwu - Benita is a Senior Product Designer and fashion tech commentator. She draws on her early background in fashion and her current career in design to offer a distinct perspective on fashion technology. Through the lens of culture and consumer behaviour, Benita explores how emerging technologies shape the way people engage with fashion, products, and brands. Her analysis sits at the intersection of design and cultural insight, translating complex technology into clear, digestable information.

Suman Khurana - Suman is a technology and contracts lawyer in DLA Piper's Intellectual Property & Technology team based in London. With legal expertise in technology-driven innovation and commercial contracts, Suman has advised clients across multiple sectors including tech, fashion, consumer and retail. Suman works on projects that bridge creativity and cutting-edge tech solutions, as well as digital transformation and global outsourcing deals. Suman also has a broad insight into consumer laws and regulations. Passionate about the intersection of fashion and technology, Suman brings insights on how emerging tools are reshaping creative industries, both from a business-to-business and business-to-consumer perspective. Suman recently co-authored the article “Retail Reimagined: The Influence of GenAI”, offering insights into how generative AI is transforming the retail landscape.

Together, they will explore how digital tools, connected devices, and design-led technologies are transforming creativity and how these shifts will influence the fashion industry in the year ahead.

Attendess will take part in an interactive workshop led by Sam Tweedie, exploring more about SEWN Digital and connect with others working across fashion, law & technology.

This event sets the foundation for our Fashion Futures series, sparking conversation and offering a first look at the themes we’ll explore more deeply in future sessions.
