About this Event
Hosted by Spitalfields, E1, in partnership with SXSW London, Fashion District’s Showcase spotlights the next generation of designers making waves in the industry. Moving beyond the traditional catwalk, the showcase merges physical runway with digital innovation, marking a new moment for London fashion.
Creatively directed by award-winning stylist Kim Howells, the runway features a curated selection of emerging designers, each bringing a distinct perspective – from reworked denim to bold, sculptural silhouettes – accompanied by a DJ set from Mr Redley. As the designers take to the runway, the C-Screen will activate and create an experience where fashion extends beyond the physical, blurring the boundaries between light, motion and human form.
Alongside the Showcase, attendees are invited to experience Digital Umbra, an exclusive collaboration between FIA, London College of Fashion, UAL and Jason Bruges Studio. Running from 1-3 June, the inhabitable media environment explores movement through spaces by capturing shadows to create a unique shared experience blending both the physical and virtual world.
Following the Showcase, the official After Party (https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/fashion-district-showcase-afterparty-tickets-1987684642272?aff=oddtdtcreator) kicks off at ALFI in Spitalfields Market. Come along and celebrate London's creative scene, grab a £5 margarita and connect with designers, makers, entrepreneurs and innovators from the Fashion District community.
