🧵 Tales of a Maker – Family Doll Making Workshop led by Claudia of Tales of a Maker
For children aged 6+ and their grown-up
What you’ll do:
• Build a flexible doll frame using wire and beads
• Design and sew simple clothing using repurposed fabrics
• Create soft hair with felting wool
• Decorate with buttons, lace, and other embellishments
• Work together as a team to bring your doll’s story to life
What you’ll learn:
• Basic hand sewing techniques
• Introductory doll construction
• Creative reuse and sustainable making
• Collaboration and imaginative storytelling
What you’ll take home:
• A fully finished doll, unique to your imagination
• A shared creative memory
• New craft skills to build on at home
No experience necessary – all tools and materials are provided.



On Saturday 18 October, Muswell Hill Creatives will be bringing people together to get creative at Make and Mend Festival. Guaranteed to be a feast of creativity with a strong focus on sustainability, take part in a workshop, learn about mending and repairs, shop from local makers and enjoy tasty food and drink. Admission to the Festival is free so be sure to arrive early if you're booking a workshop to take a look around and enjoy all that's on offer. Doors open to the Festival at 1pm and close at 5.30pm so arrive early, grab something to eat and browse all the great activities taking place.
