Exploring Sculptures with the PATI Team

Step into a hands-on, interactive workshop where participants will create papier-mâché sculptures inspired by artist Gaspard Combes’ installation at Mandore, which reimagines Rajasthan’s stone-carving traditions through playful, illusionistic forms. Guided by the PATI team, you’ll explore techniques to mimic stone textures, blending traditional inspiration with imaginative, contemporary design.

This participatory studio invites visitors to contribute to an evolving collaborative artwork, culminating in a lively outdoor walk carrying these deceptively “heavy” sculptures. The activity celebrates creativity, community, and storytelling, with photographs capturing its surreal and joyous moments. Open to all ages, it offers a chance to experience art-making as both process and performance. All materials will be provided, and the workshop is open to all skill levels.
