About this Event
Join us to experience Naw Ruz!
Fear not! The Gregorian and Lunar New Years may be behind us, but there's still time to learn about another major global celebration, one that dates back thousands of years and is still enjoyed by countries in both the east and the west. Naw-Ruz in Persian means 'new day', a festival steeped in over 3000 years of rich history and cultural significance! As we gather at the Spring equinox, we honour this incredible tradition celebrated in over 20 countries. Whether you’re part of the Zoroastrian community, a Bahá'í observing the end of 19 days of fasting, an Iranian marking the start of your annual calendar or simply curious about this amazing cultural festivity, there’s something at this event for everyone! Come share in the joy of learning, connection, and vibrant spirit of Naw Ruz as we mark new beginnings together.
Please bring a contribution of food to share (no nuts).
