About this Event
This is a gathering for Black women in Tallahassee to celebrate our beauty, femininity and ancestral heritage.
We will start with a walkthrough of the Crowns Gallery that showcases Black hairstyles, watch a short documentary and engage in an activity to create positive affirmations for building our confidence and self esteem.
Then, we will transition into the African Arts Gallery and have a discussion about the historical use of natural materials in craft traditions such as painting, dye and sculpture.
