Practical tools for navigating high-stakes conversations—with courage, clarity, and care.
About this Event

Everyday Negotiation is a values-based training designed to help you show up with confidence and calm in the moments that matter most. Whether you’re advocating for yourself at work, navigating systemic bias, or managing everyday tensions at home, this two-day experience offers practical tools rooted in emotional intelligence, equity, and creativity.

We move beyond traditional, extractive models of negotiation—no corporate roleplay or one-size-fits-all scripts. Instead, this is a hands-on lab for:

  • Getting clear on what matters most to you and how it shapes your choices
  • Learning to navigate power dynamics with more awareness
  • Finding creative ways forward, even when tensions arise

Who It’s For

This training is for you if you’ve ever felt overlooked or out of place in negotiation. If you want to feel steadier and more grounded — to have tools that honor your needs and values. If you care about equity, authenticity, and creating change in a human way, whether for yourself or your team.

What You’ll Gain

By the end of the training, you’ll leave with:

  • A clearer understanding of your own needs, values, and boundaries
  • Practical frameworks to navigate challenging conversations with respect and strategy
  • A new lens on negotiation as a tool for connection, not just transaction

Format & Experience

This two-day workshop blends storytelling, reflection, and practical exercises. Expect to move between individual work, paired discussions, and group activities in a supportive, non-judgmental environment. No prior experience in negotiation is needed—just curiosity and a willingness to explore.

Facilitators

We’re and Kyle Gibson and Kiran Thadhani—negotiation trainers and facilitators with 20+ years of experience helping people navigate power, conflict, and collaboration across cultures and sectors.

Together, we’ve worked with universities, peacebuilding organisations, creative agencies, and business schools to:

  • Equip people with the skills to hold their ground with care
  • Turn tension into traction
  • Help teams align values with outcomes

We built this course because too many people are told to “just communicate better” without being given the tools, language, or support to do so. We believe negotiation isn’t just for high-stakes deals—it’s a core skill for everyday life, leadership, and change.

Two Day Schedule

Day 1 – Ground & Clarify

  • Reflection + close

Day 2 – Imagine & Practise

  • Mapping relationships and influence in real life
  • Exploring creative ways to move beyond binary outcomes
  • Practising real‑life negotiation scenarios

  • Closing circle: commitments + next steps
