Every Play, A Little Death: A Deadly Sondheim–Webber Birthday Celebration arrives on Sunday, March 22 at 7:00 PM at Chelsea Table + Stage, honoring the shared birthday of Stephen Sondheim and Andrew Lloyd Webber. This daring cabaret features songs sung by characters who don’t survive the curtain call, drawn from musicals including Sweeney Todd, Into the Woods, Evita, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Passion>. Featuring powerhouse performers from across NYC’s cabaret and theatrical scene, the evening blends haunting ballads, fiery anthems, and wicked storytelling. Music directed by Michael Cuschieri and produced by Cara Forfinski, this birthday party promises a thrilling night where tragedy takes center stage—and every song is a last word.
