EuroDead Orchestra: Europe United [English below]Die Grateful Dead gehörten zu den prägendsten amerikanischen Bands überhaupt. Sie waren Pioniere des Americana, sie verbanden Blues, Jazz, Rock, Cosmic Country und psychedelische Improvisation und sie schufen ein ganz eigenes Universum. Aus jahrzehntelanger Vertrautheit mit dieser Musik und ihrer gemeinsamen Sprache haben sich nun sechs renommierte Musiker aus Spanien, Italien und dem Vereinigten Königreich zusammengetan. Das Ergebnis: EuroDead Orchestra – die allererste paneuropäische Dead‑Tribute‑Band.
Diese europäische „Supergroup“ vereint: Aaron Feder (Bass) und Bryan Curtis (Drums) von der Grateful Nights Band aus Barcelona. Andy Scoffin (Leadgitarre) von den Grateful Dudes aus dem UK. Jeff Gothelf (Keyboards) von The Ex‑Presidents. Accursio Gulotta (Gitarre) und Nate Parienti (Gesang & Gitarre) von Delta aus Italien. Gemeinsam schöpft dieses neu formierte Kollektiv tief aus den Wurzeln der Grateful Dead – respektvoll, offen und mit Raum für Risiko und Improvisation.
Der zweitägige Run von EuroDead Orchestra am 23. und 24. Mai im Kulturhaus Insel Berlin verspricht offene Jams und spontane Erkundungen des Möglichen – Momente, die entstehen, wenn Vertrauen, Mut und musikalische Telepathie aufeinandertreffen. Europa erlebt die Dead – live, direkt und ohne Netz und doppelten Boden.

Arguably the most important American band, the Grateful Dead was unlike any other: pioneers of Americana music fusing blues, jazz, rock, cosmic country and psychedelic improvisation into a new unique Americana genre while writing the great American songbook. The Grateful Dead are just important now as they were in the sixties, maybe even more so. The living music is both timeless and a celebration of life.
Born from decades deep in the songbook and the shared language of Grateful Dead history and culture, a new European band emerges with reverence, fire, and fearless improvisation. Now making their live debut: EuroDead Orchestra — the first pan‑European Dead tribute band ever, uniting renowned musicians from Spain, Italy, and the UK into a true musical supergroup.
Featuring Aaron Feder (bass) and Bryan Curtis (drums) of Barcelona’s Grateful Nights; Andy Scoffin (lead guitar) of the UK’s Grateful Dudes; Jeff Gothelf (keys) of The Ex‑Presidents; Accursio Gulotta (guitar) of Sciacca, Italy, from Delta; and Nate Parienti (lead vocals & guitar) of Alabaster Brown and Delta, this high-energy collective draws deeply from the Grateful Dead’s roots — honoring the tradition while opening it to risk, improvisation, and the unknown.
EuroDead Orchestra’s two-night run, May 23–24 at Kulturhaus Insel Berlin, promises open-ended jams, deep explorations, and the kind of psychic lift that only happens when respect, trust, and raw musical telepathy collide. Europe meets the Dead—plugged in, turned on, and let loose!
