About this Event
🌿 Urban Foraging: Discover Wild Food in the City
Join us for a relaxed and friendly introduction to urban foraging. Together we’ll explore the edible plants growing all around us and learn how to safely identify and harvest them.
In the middle of a climate and biodiversity crisis, many of us feel disconnected from nature — especially in cities. These sessions are a chance to reconnect with the natural world on our doorstep, discover the value of our often-overlooked “weeds,” and share knowledge, food, and community.
Each session focuses on seasonal plants and includes a simple wild food tasting that we’ll prepare together.
April – Nettles
Learn how to identify, harvest, and prepare nettles. We’ll make a delicious wild nettle pesto together (vegan and gluten-free, contains hazelnuts).
May – Wild Salads
We’ll explore a range of edible plants that can be used in fresh salads, foraging together and sharing a seasonal wild dish.
✨ These sessions are:
- Beginner friendly
- Relaxed and community focused
- A chance to connect with nature and others
Whether you're curious about wild food, want to learn new skills, or simply enjoy spending time outdoors with others, you’re very welcome to join.
