About this Event
All existing galleries will have a lighting system at various stages of life, technology, and flexibility. The gallery lighting inventory needs to be planned for and a long-term lighting vision created in order to facilitate the ongoing demands and complexities of the everchanging exhibition programme. This involves phasing out old inefficient lighting in stages and upgrading the lighting in stages or as funding allows. Ensuring a seamless integration for the gallery over time to work towards achieving the optimal lighting system for the gallery into the future.
Join my workshop/webinar where we run through the stages and considerations of planning to upgrade your gallery lighting system:
- Stage one is to achieve a uniform layer of wall washing on the exhibition walls or the vertical
Sustainably phase out inefficient lighting technology such as halogen
- Stage two Build up a second layer of accenting either with accenting spotlights or interchangeable accenting optics
Consider futureproof spotlights with flexible options to adapt to future needs
Stage 3 Implement RGBW for immersive and event spaces
- Considerations Important elements of light such as - light and the perception of colour, Casambi controls, track infrastructure, dynamic interactive features. Exhibition lighting formats and gallery lighting signatures.
ERCO events will proceed once a minimum number of attendees is reached.
