About this Event

Join award winning wildlife photographer Paul Goldstein for a memorable evening in support of the Kenya Wildlife Trust UK Cheetah Conservation.

Endangered ...Wildlife photographer, guide and conservationist Paul Goldstein, has spent over 35 years trying (and failing) for that one image, that one spectacular (10/10) photograph that he knows, deep down, will always elude him. He has maybe managed a couple of sevens in his whole life ... (his ruthless scoring procedure not ours). He has also raised (and continues to raise) literally hundreds of thousands of pounds for endangered species and his scarred and battered body (and many would say mind) is testament to his constant battles with faunal abusers. He completed 25 marathons in 25 days last summer for Bengal tigers on his 2Legsfor4 campaign and says he's not done yet.

The Sunday Times described him as 'preposterously vivacious, a guide of psychotic gusto', he has had death threats against him, is not welcome in some countries and as a presenter both passionate, outspoken, provocative and entertaining. His latest book 'Nine Lives' has been very well received yet had to go past the publishers' lawyers. Twice.

You've been warned, we look forward to seeing you for what will be a memorable and 'vigorous' evening.

'Anger: that is what you sense from, and feel after, reading Nine Lives. Paul Goldstein has made it his life’s work to celebrate and protect these magnificent creatures in their natural environment.' - Simon Calder

'Spectacular! Every photograph crackles with drama, beauty and raw emotion, every paragraph vibrates with righteous fury. This book is both a visual triumph and a testament to one photographer’s relentless fight to give nature a voice, and a future.' - Simon Reeve

'His determined zeal is aligned with his photographic passions and is why he goes to absurd physical lengths to get the perfect shot. He’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but he’s made a great deal of difference to the world’s creatures, both two-legged and four. Long may he continue.' - Chris Packham

'Whether tracking lions in Kenya or pursuing polar bears in Svalbard, Paul Goldstein is the consummate wildlife photographer. No-one gets closer to capturing the spirit of his subjects, and no-one cares more about their survival than a man who has completed fifty marathons and raised thousands for their preservation.' - Brian Jackman

50% of each ticket will be donated to the Kenya Wildlife Trust UK towards Cheetah conservation.

Kenya Wildlife Trust UK is a UK registered charity that principally supports Kenya Wildlife Trust, a Kenyan charity whose teams on the ground combine scientific research with community partnerships to ensure people and wildlife can thrive together. Every pound raised in the UK helps deliver practical conservation across key landscapes in Kenya — the Mara, Laikipia, Samburu, Amboseli and Tsavo.
