Are you curious about exploring the connection between body, voice and space? This workshop is designed to help you find your presence both on stage and in everyday life.
Through movement, voice and writing, we will discover how our bodies shape space-and how space shapes us.
The goal: To grow together as a regular group that supports and inspires each other over time. But dont worry- you are welcome to join individual workshops, if that suits you better.
What to expect?

- Individual and collective writing to inspire movement compositions
- collaborative creations that reimagine physical and imaginative spaces
- a focus on finding your authentic presence on stage and in everyday life
Whether you are looking to explore your creative potential, deepen your stage presence or simply move, connect and be creative together with others, this workshop is for you.
We start at 18:30 . Please plan to come 15 to 10 mins earlier so you have time to make yourself comfortable in the space.
About the facilitator
I am Maria Karamoutsiou (they/them), performer, mover, music artist and educator. I am facilitating workshops, and I am working with groups and communities for more than 15 years now, while the last 5 I am focusing on working with and for the queer FLINTA* community.
In my work as director or performer I explore themes such as identity, belonging and gender. I focus on the relationship between body and (public) space, as well as the question of representation and suppression of the human body. My performative experiments include sound, voice, movement and use methods of biographical and devised theater as well as research. I often collaborate with people who see themselves as part of a community, so we can negotiate socio-political issues in a personal way.
One of my main goals is to create a space for transformative experiences for both the performers and the audience. The performative process for me is one of learning, empowerment, and vulnerability that embraces the unexpected, the unknown, as well as individuality, thereby creating and celebrating community.

This workshop is offered on a donation basis to support accessibility within our FLINTA* communities. I recognize that even within marginalized gender identities, there are vast differences in access to resources based on intersecting factors like race, class, citizenship, ability, education, body size, and more.
If you are someone who holds relative privilege in these or other areas—for example, if you are white, economically stable, have access to generational wealth, hold a secure job, are formally educated, able-bodied, or a citizen I kindly invite you to consider making a higher contribution. Your donation directly supports those in our community who experience compounded forms of marginalization and may not be able to give as much. It also makes this workshop possible and secures a fair fee for the facilitator and the space.
