P&T Knitwear is pleased to welcome Elliot Regenstein to celebrate and discuss his new book, : Preparing State Early Childhood Systems for a Brighter Future.

Elliot will be in conversation with Shira Mattera. Along with a discussion and audience Q&A, Elliot will also sign copies of his book.


ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Elliot Regenstein is a Chicago-based partner at Foresight Law + Policy. Elliot has extensive experience in state-level policy and advocacy, with an emphasis on early learning. Much of his work focuses on decision-making in state education and early education systems: who is responsible for which decisions, what information they have to support those decisions, and what incentives are acting on key stakeholders.

ABOUT THE MODERATOR

Shira Mattera is a senior researcher at MDRC who leads large-scale studies aimed at identifying effective practices and policies in early childhood education and children’s development. Mattera’s work includes studies of preschool curriculum and professional development focused on math and on social-emotional development, as well as aligned interventions leading into and out of the preschool years.

  • This is a ticketed in-store event with limited amphitheater-style seating.
  • Doors open at 6:30pm, with the talk starting around 7:00pm.
  • Books will be available for purchase at the event.
  • Cost of a book bundle ticket reflects the total cost of the feature event book (MSRP plus tax). Each book bundle ticket guarantees ticket holders one (1) copy of the feature event book.
  • The talk will be followed by a book signing. Books signed at P&T Knitwear events must be purchased from P&T Knitwear.
  • If you would like a signed copy and cannot attend the event, we're happy to take your pre-order. We ship most places!
