A Liszt Múzeum matinékoncertjén két kiváló művésznő repíti el a közönséget Liszt dalainak varázslatos világába. Elek Petra szoprán énekesnő már az Éj királynőjének szerepét is magára öltötte, csakúgy, mint mestere, Miklósa Erika. Partnere, Szabó Eszter kitüntetéssel végzett a Zeneakadémián, majd Weimarban mélyítette tovább tudását a dalkíséret művészetében. A műsor első felében német dalok hangzanak el, többek között olyan költők verseire, mint Schiller, Goethe és Heine. A természeti képek, legendák és balladák drámai zenei formában jelennek meg. Ezeket három francia nyelvű Victor Hugo-dal követi, alapvetően intim, lírai jellegűek, megfűszerezve szenvedélyes, majdnem operai szakaszokkal. A koncertet két Petrarca-szonett zárja, amelyekben a szerelem emelkedett, transzcendens hangja szólal meg. A szenvedély és a belső vívódás kontrasztjai bensőséges, mégis ünnepélyes lezárást hoznak magukkal a hosszú út végére, amin a két muzsikus vezet minket végig a némettől a francián át az olasz területekig, a legdrámaibb romantikus érzelmektől a csendes áhítatig.

Two outstanding artists will conjure up Liszt’s songs on the stage of the Liszt Ferenc Memorial Museum. The Soprano, Petra Elek has already taken on the role of the Queen of the Night just like her teacher, Erika Miklósa. Her partner, Eszter Szabó, graduated with honours from the Liszt Academy and deepened her knowledge of the art of song accompaniment in Weimar. The first half of their matinee concert features German songs, including poems by poets such as Schiller, Goethe and Heine. Various images of nature, legends and balladistic stories take on a dramatic musical form. These are followed by three French songs by Victor Hugo, which are fundamentally intimate and lyrical in nature, spiced with passionate passages reminiscent of opera. The concert closes with two Petrarch sonnets, in which the elevated, transcendent voice of love is heard. The contrasts of passion and inner struggle bring an intimate yet solemn conclusion to the long journey along, which the two musicians lead us from Germany, through France to Italian fields, from the most dramatic romantic passions to quiet devotion.
