Yuko says “Hi everyone, this coming Monday, I will feature Adolfo Carabelli. He was a pianist, composer, arranger and orchestra leader. He was an extremely well trained classical musician, but discovered jazz, then through that, another popular form of music, tango. As well as having his own orquesta in the 30s, he also lead and arranged for Orquesta Típica Víctor. I love his recordings — I find them so well balanced and sophisticated. It’s completely different from other orquestas of that time. These are the kind of music which I often play either right at the beginning or at the end of the night, but I will try to play them at the rightful spot for a feature musician tomorrow. We’ll see how it goes!”El Boliche: 3 hours or so of lovely tango music, usually from DJ Yuko.
