That Poetry Thing presents: Judith Herald (ACT) plus an open mic
Judith had dabbled with poetry for pretty much all of her life becoming more serious about her writing over the last 2 years. She published her first collection toxic/empathy, a book about toxic relationships, in February 2024, following up with before/after about her oldest daughters passing in December 2024. Her work tends to explore tougher subjects of toxic people, abuse, grief, and healing. Her third collection Marked By Your Hatred was released in August 2025.
In addition to her own works, Judith re-published her great (x4)-grandfathers single poetry book Amusements of Solitude for it's 180th Anniversary this year including additional historical information. She is currently working on her first full length novel.
