♥ eat-girls 𝒜𝓇𝑒𝒶 𝒮𝒾𝓁𝑒𝓃𝓏𝒾𝑜 release party ♥♥ eat-girls (Lyon, FR - post-punk / minimal-synth)
eat-girls take over Hafenklang (Goldener Salon) for a night to celebrate the release of their first album 'Area Silenzio', to be released on Bureau B on November 8, 2024.
"Area Silenzio is eat-girls' debut record and it is both haunted and haunting. For the past three years, the French trio have been crafting their songs into little self-contained worlds with the patience of entomologists, taking them out all over the country and Europe to confront them with the wilderness of a live audience. The ten resulting tracks are a collection of electronic madrigals, groove-driven songs played on a mischievous multi-speed Victrola, ranging from languid dub drips to full-on drum machine cavalcades.
eat-girls exist on a slightly different plane from ours, where everything is teeming with secrets and hidden life. Area Silenzio is a precious polaroid shot from that world, or, as Tom Verlaine would have it, 'a souvenir from a dream'" - Sebastien Perrin

♥ Museum Of No Art (Hamburg, DE - ambient/ minimal-synth)
The music project of artist Mona Steinwidder, Museum Of No Art, is described by herself as a metaphysical space with no location, yet enormous halls with transparent ceilings – an ever-changing exhibition of the subconscious.
Based on this metaphor, her first album was created in 2020 and released on the Canadian label Seance Centre. Since then, she has played various concerts in different locations and sometimes in special settings. For example, at the Minimal Music Festival in Amsterdam in 2023, where she was invited to play a wake-up concert for a sleeping audience. She has also published project-related works that are always on the threshold of fine art, such as site-specific music pieces for the contemporary art space Het Hem (also in Amsterdam) and the soundtrack to the poems of the visual artist Mitko Mitkov. On her second album, A Serpent Called Emit, which was recently released on the avantgarde label Cosima Pitz she focuses on clarinet and other woodwinds. Over the course of two years she has repeatedly approached the instruments in a new way, trying to overcome the clichés that come with each thing and to create something unusual and yet familiar.
Museum Of No Art sounds free and unfettered on it. And that's where we find ourselves while listening to her music, in the shadow of a levitating stone.
