About this Event
What does it mean to feel held by nature? To create memories outdoors that deserve to be remembered? To see yourself reflected in the landscape?
Earth To Us is an exhibition exploring nature, memory, belonging and joyful ecologies through the stories and experiences of queer people of colour across the UK.
Created by Touch Grass CIC, the exhibition brings together analogue photography, soundscapes, artwork, written reflections and community archives gathered across camping trips, conservation days, hikes, creative workshops and outdoor gatherings over the past few years.
At the heart of the exhibition is a simple but important question: Who gets seen, remembered and imagined in nature?
Through immersive storytelling and collaborative works, the exhibition documents moments of joy, rest, tenderness, friendship and connection outdoors — offering an alternative archive of environmental belonging rooted in community care and lived experience.
Whether you’re deeply connected to nature or simply curious, Earth to Us invites you to slow down, reflect and imagine new relationships between community, creativity and the outdoors.
More information on workshops, opening night and community programming will be announced soon.

About Touch Grass
Touch Grass is an outdoor community for queer women, trans and non-binary people of colour.
We are committed to fostering community growth through outdoor gatherings and wellness-focused trips that encourage us to rekindle our relationship with nature. Our immersive experiences go beyond relaxation — they're about empowerment, healing, and forging meaningful connections.
Our vision is for queer people of colour to see the outdoors as a space where we belong. A 2020 report by Friends of the Earth found that nearly 40% of people from minority ethnic backgrounds in England live in the most green space-deprived neighbourhoods, compared with only 14% of white people — and that people from minority ethnic backgrounds are significantly less likely to spend time in the countryside than white people. We want to change this. We deserve joyful, safe access to the emotional well-being and physical health benefits of nature too.
We believe creativity and nature go hand in hand, which is why most of our events encourage you to embrace nature and your inner creative spirit.
