About this Event
An English garden dinner hosted by chef/knitwear designer Eve Taylor and Platt Fields Market Garden baker Katie Hourigan.
Each Peach Pear Plum will be settling into the large polytunnel at Platt Fields Market Garden for an evening of seasonal sharing platters by candlelight. Expect English produce handled with care - vegetables from the garden, local cheeses, plenty of pastry, pies & pickled bits. We’ll be following recipes from our grandmothers, and taking note of the Cumbrian, Devonian, French and Irish influences they provide.
Your ticket covers the cost of your dinner and a glass of our homemade non-alcoholic shrub but we’ll have a number of bottles of natural wine to order by the glass, as well as a couple of craft beers.
We’d suggest layering up, and perhaps even bringing a blanket or two to share, as it is November, and Manchester. While we’ll be sheltered from the wind and rain, it’s worth bearing in mind this is an unheated space.
Dietary requirements
There will be a mixture of meat, fish, dairy, and vegetable plates plonked on the table. Help yourself, to whatever you’d like, they will all be labeled and we will be to hand to answer any questions. Unfortunately, we can’t offer an exclusively vegan or gluten free menu for this first event. But if you are vegan or gluten intolerant and desperate to eat off of our doilies, get in touch by sending us a DM on instagram before you book - we’ll see what we can do.
Looking to forward to feeding you,
Katie & Evie xxx
