Dress up and decorate your bike to join us in celebrating Dutch Week with our Orange Bike Ride. A fun event for all ages.
Come and join us for an easy fun ride around Auckland, leaving from, and returning to the Ponsonby Cruising Club. Dress to impress in the colour Orange and pimp up your bikes! Prizes will go to participants with the most elaborate outfit or decorated bike!
Your bicycles must be roadworthy, cyclists must wear helmets. Please also bring plenty of sunblock, water and a raincoat. This is a self-guided ride, so children must be accompanied by an adult.
The Orange Bike Ride aims to promote cycling as a sustainable means of transport which helps us to address climate change through a standout and enjoyable family oriented event connecting New Zealanders with the local Dutch communities in as many regions as possible across Aotearoa New Zealand.
The event is part of the annual Dutch Week festival and aims to enhance the visibility of local Dutch communities and businesses and the contribution they make to a diverse New Zealand, for all of Aotearoa New Zealand to participate in sharing Dutch culture, and to highlight the strong connection between the Netherlands and Aotearoa New Zealand.
