We're delighted to welcome bestselling YA author Dustin Thao to Waterstones Piccadilly to discuss his new novel You've Found Oliver. From the TikTok-conquering author of You've Reached Sam comes another deeply affecting YA novel, as Oliver discovers the messages he's been sending to his dead best friend's number have been received by a student in Seattle.

Dustin Thao is a Vietnamese-American writer based in Southern California. He graduated from Amherst College with a B.A. in Political Science, and is in a PhD program at Northwestern University. He writes contemporary young adult fiction. You’ve Reached Sam was his YA debut.

Jack Edwards is the internet’s resident librarian. A cultural catalyst, Jack’s audience of 3 million people have earned him a place as one of the most influential names in the book industry - when he talks about a book, it makes a difference. As the creator in residence for Hay Festival, a key-note speaker at Singapore Writers’ Festival and Gothenburg Book Fair, Jack knows how to reach huge audiences internationally through his work. From hosting Netflix’s ‘One Day’ premiere to being announced as the digital host of The Booker Prize, Jack’s expertise are sought globally, where his passion for books is met with his expert interviewing skills. Guesting on BBC’s ‘Between The Covers’, to presenting on BBC Bitesize, Jack is making waves in both traditional and social media platforms, recently being labelled bCreator’s ‘Creator of the Year’ and FutureBook’s ‘Person of the Year’. In 2025, Jack was honoured Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe list. And most recently has launched his book club, Inklings - a social community of book lovers.
