Sometimes the hardest part of drawing is knowing where to start - so we’ve got a few prompts to help get the creative juices flowing.
Our next Drawn Together session is titled Mixed Emotions, a relaxed social meet-up where we’ll be drawing, chatting and sharing creative time together. For anyone who’d like a little inspiration, there will be a lucky dip of prompts combining objects, animals, or situations with different emotions - leading to some fun and unexpected drawing ideas.
Of course, there’s absolutely no obligation to follow the prompts. They’re simply there if you’re feeling stuck or want to try something new. You’re very welcome to bring along your own project and work on that instead.
These sessions are all about creative community and a relaxed space to draw together, whether you want to sketch, experiment, or just enjoy some time around other illustrators.
Everyone is welcome, whether you’re a regular at Sheffield Illustrators or it’s your first time joining us. All experience levels, styles and approaches are encouraged - we’re a friendly and inclusive bunch.
Sheffield Plate is a food hall, so you’re welcome to grab something to eat or drink if you fancy it, but there’s absolutely no pressure to buy anything - just come along and enjoy the evening.
Bring your sketchbook, tablet, pencils, or whatever you like to draw with, and join us for a relaxed creative evening.
About Sheffield Illustrators meet-up:
Sheffield Illustrators is the regional AOI meet-up for South Yorkshire, open to illustrators of all backgrounds and experience levels. Our events aim to create a supportive space to connect, share ideas, and enjoy drawing together.
Accessibility:
Sheffield Plate generously provides a spacious and well-lit basement room for our meet ups. The room is accessible by lift.
