About this Event
Enter freely and of your own free will, to a night supporting new theatre and the Broadway Cares foundation!
Experience Pete McElligott's hilarious new play, Dracula. The fast-paced theatrical retelling reimagines Bram Stoker’s gothic classic with eight actors, lightning-fast role switching, and a playful theatrical style reminiscent of The 39 Steps and Monty Python.
Presented by a team of emerging theater artists, the reading will feature a cast of guest performers bringing the familiar events of Bram Stoker’s classic to life in a fresh (and occasionally ridiculous) way!
Audiences can expect a night filled with vampires, forbidden love, multiple suitors, sausages, a thunder sheet, and... possibly even a cowboy.
A portion of ticket proceeds will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, one of the nation’s leading nonprofit organizations providing lifesaving services for people affected by HIV/AIDS. Remaining proceeds will support the continued development of Dracula as the team works toward a full production planned for Fall 2026.
