About this Event
Join us for a celebratory afternoon honoring the rich legacy of the Dodgers as we mark the release of two remarkable new books: Before They Wore Dodger Blue: Tommy Lasorda and the Greatest Draft Class in Baseball History by Eric Vickrey, and Jim Gilliam: The Forgotten Dodger by Steve Dittmore.
In addition we are honored to welcome Fred Claire—Dodgers General Manager and Executive Vice President from 1969–1998 and author of Extra Innings: Fred Claire’s Journey to City of Hope—as a panelist for the afternoon. The conversation will be moderated by acclaimed sports journalist Tom Hoffarth, author of Perfect Eloquence: An Appreciation of Vin Scully. Newly released books will be available for purchase throughout the event.
This special event will feature an engaging panel discussion exploring the Dodgers’ storied past and enduring impact on the game today. Guests will have the opportunity to meet the authors, hear their insights, and have their books personally signed.
We look forward to celebrating Dodgers history with you in an afternoon of lively discussion, memorable stories, and great company.
