It brings us great joy to announce our short dance film IMAMOU:Hotô to Shore... Agbé | Agwe is an official selection at Miami Light Project’s ScreenDance Miami Festival 2026. Miami Light Project is a respected cultural organization that presents live performances by innovative dance, music, and theater artists from around the world.
Join us in celebration across two locations on January 24 & 25 as we honor Agwe, spirit of the waters, and the sacred role water plays in connecting the African Diaspora.

SUNDAY, JANUARY 25TH
DLO SAKRE (SACRED WATER) A Celebration of Agwe Through Dance
African Heritage Cultural Arts Center | 1PM-5PM
Attendees can expect an immersive, multi-layered experience including:
• Live Agwe dance performance
• Haitian Folkloric Dance Workshop with live drumming featuring the rhythms Parigol and Mayi
• Altar activation and opening invocation to bless and ground the space
This gathering invites movement, reflection, and communal celebration!
What to bring:
• A dance skirt (if you have one)
• An open heart and good vibes
Suggested attire:
• White + ocean hues (all shades of blue, indigo, silver)
