About this Event
Participants will learn how to use shapes cut from craft foam as well as other easily accessible materials to create prints on reused fabric. This technique can be applied to print on clothes, table clothes, etc. Participants will be given time to create their own unique pieces with guidance from Annika.
All materials will be provided! You can bring t-shirt or other items to stamp on if you would like, but it's no necessary!
Participants will walk away with a one of kind stamped piece and the knowledge of how to make their own stamps at home!
Artist Bio:
Annika is a painter originally from Madison, WI living and working in Chicago. She often use scrap fabric to make my canvases, including old clothes, napkins, bedsheets, pillow cases, towels, etc. She thinks that it is important to use materials that are in abundance around us, and often thrown away!
Getting There/Where to Park:
Free street parking is available on the street outside of The WasteShed, but spots may be limited so please plan accordingly. The Kimball bus stops right outside our doors! Please let us know if you need wheelchair access.
