DIRECTORS AND DESIGN with Imy Wyatt Corner
A workshop for early career directors on how to approach working with designers - with a particular focus on set and costume design. This workshop will include techniques and processes that are about unlocking this part of the creative process. Participants are encouraged to think of a play they’d like to direct or are going to direct for this workshop.
IMY'S BIO
Imy Wyatt Corner is a Fringe First Award Winning Theatre director who has directed at theatres including Arcola Theatre, Park Theatre, Jermyn st Theatre and International Theatre, Frankfurt. Recently she was shortlisted for the RTST Peter Hall Award 2025 and was awarded the Nicole Kidman Bursary from MCG Futures. She was the Mackintosh Resident Assistant Director at Kiln Theatre 2024/5. She has also worked as an Assistant/ Associate Director in the West End and on UK Tours with Theatre Royal Bath. She was an Artistic Associate at Arcola Theatre 2023/4 and a Creative Associate at Jermyn St Theatre 2022/3. She has been a panellist on panels on set design at the V&A Museum and contributed a chapter to Aurora Metro’s book ‘Feminist Theatre: Then and Now’.
