-La version française suit-Selig ist der Mann – Dialogues of the Soul / Dialogues de l’âme is a concert of vocal music by J.S Bach and Dieterich Buxtehude that explores themes of suffering, consolation, and joy. Centered on intimate cantatas, our program invites the audience on musical journey from despair to hope.
Performed by Musica Lucis, a Montreal-based vocal and instrumental Baroque ensemble, the concert features emerging musicans that specialize in historical performance. The program includes Buxtehude’s Ich habe Lust abzuscheiden and Ich halte es dafür, alongside Bach’s Selig ist der Mann (BWV 57).
