OHM HOURANI (JO)
Ohm Hourani was born in Jordan and is based in Montreal, Canada, with musical connections that have spread to places like Amsterdam. He blends traditions and influences from around the world into his music. Alongside his innovative studio work, the artist embraces the intricate relationship between technology and electronic music.
By creating an ambitious collage of tight, percussive tech house and swinging free-jazz influences, Hourani brings the folkloric roots of his Eastern upbringing into the world of modern house music. His releases are characterized by a passion for seamless engineering and minimalist style, pulsing with the organic vibrancy that comes from a love of unknown sonic exploration. His debut LP, Jazz of the Machine, combines two impulses – an almost obsessive interest in the science behind the frequencies and algorithms of programmed drum machines, and the improvisational freedom of jazz – Minimal House meets Miles Davis.
CLOCK POETS [live] / (ESP)
Clock Poets, formed in 2014 by Javi and Marco, emerged from a shared desire to push the boundaries of minimalistic and deep house. Their first collaboration came unexpectedly after meeting over a Juno 106 synth, but their debut live performance felt like years of chemistry. With Javi bringing his global experience and Marco pivoting from gigs to focus on fresh artistic ventures, they fused their creative energies into something truly original.
What makes Clock Poets stand out is their commitment to pure improvisation. No two sets are the same, as their performances are shaped by the energy of the moment and the crowd’s vibe. Their sound is a dynamic blend of linear grooves and spontaneous, joyful accidents—an ever-evolving journey of electronic beats that’s both structured and freeform. For the Oslo World Festival, Clock Poets promise a live experience that’s as unpredictable as it is immersive.
