Discover how Kidbrooke is changing the game for affordable housing in London with real stories and fresh ideas.
About this Event

RIBA London is organising a panel discussion focused on large-scale social housing delivery in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, using the Kidbrooke Park Road North scheme (KPRN) as a case study.

This multi award-winning project provides an opportunity to bring together key stakeholders — including the local authority, architects, developers, and planning team — to reflect on the process of delivering high-quality, 100% affordable housing at scale.

The session will explore the journey from planning through to delivery, highlighting key challenges, decisions, and lessons learned.

Panel Contributors:

  • John Nahar (RIBA London) & Abu Siddiki (RIBA South East London Architects Group) - Framing the wider discussion around affordable housing delivery, collaboration, and the role of architecture within London’s housing agenda
  • Neill Campbell, BPTW Partner - Broader reflections on affordable housing and council housing delivery across London, including perspectives from the wider Kidbrooke Village context
  • Simon Bayliss, HTA - Architectural design and delivery of the Kidbrooke Park Road North scheme
  • Lee Christie – Royal Borough of Greenwich / Greenwich Builds - Local authority perspective, stakeholder engagement, and delivery coordination within the Greenwich Builds programme
  • Russell Murphy – Durkan - Contractor perspective on delivery, construction realities, and implementation of large-scale affordable housing schemes
  • Beth Lancaster – Royal Borough of Greenwich - Planning, policy, and the wider strategic context behind the delivery of affordable housing within Greenwich

Hosted by BPTW.
