Training Information (IPS Advanced)
Run over 6 x interactive online facilitated sessions, this interactive, transformational training is offered in "real time," is full of rich dialogue, and designed to have you deepening your practice of Intentional Peer Support. A Certificate of Completion is offered at the conclusion of your study if you have attended & participated in the full course.
Intentional Peer Support requires an ongoing commitment to learning and growth. Once participants complete a Core training and begin practicing IPS in their relationships and attending co-reflection lots of questions emerge—most commonly, “How do I make this stuff work in my particular environment?”
We developed Online Advanced Training to take IPS practice a step further, play out the principles and tasks using real-life scenarios, heighten self-reflection, enhance ways of building mutual connections, and sustain the practice. Our Advanced Trainings are for anyone who has completed a Core Training.
Part of the Advance Curriculum focuses on the Art of Co-Reflection: Co-reflection is a vital practice where people regularly come together to reflect on their practice and their relationships using the IPS framework. Here is an opportunity to examine relationships, look at assumptions, and sustain the tasks and principles. Our Core Training gets you started with Co-Reflection, and our Advanced Training helps you master it. Visit the website for your free Co-Reflection Guides: https://www.intentionalpeersupport.org/coreflection/?v=b8a74b2fbcbb
Explore Crisis as an Opportunity: Traditionally, crisis in mental health has been viewed as something undesirable or harmful, and risk assessment has led to fear-based responses that keep people stuck. In the Advanced Training, we focus on using crisis instead as an opportunity to connect, maintain mutuality, and create a culture of healing. Respite programs will find particular use as we further explore what it means to be trauma-informed, work with conflict and challenging situations, develop flexible boundaries, use pro-active crisis planning, and prepare for program evaluation.

This is an interactive training so we do ask that participants have their camera on and participate in all of the activities and break out sessions. If that is not possible you may prefer to attend an in-person training rather than online - email us to chat through the options where you are!
Training Cost
We have a tiered pricing structure in efforts to make our curriculum more accessible. Simply read the tier descriptions to identify the tier that applies to you. We rely on your ticket purchase to support the totality of our work, so we request that you choose the highest tier you are able to comfortably afford. Any funds collected beyond our expenses will provide scholarship to others.
Places at the lower tiered price are limited - once they are sold out we cannot release more of these places until the next round of training. Seats offered on a first-come, first-served basis, so please register early to guarantee a seat!
Registration cost for the full course of 6 x sessions:
Agency Rate (where the organization or agency is paying for an employee's spot) - $750 (per person)
Self funded / Employed Rate (where a person purchasing a ticket is employed and paying their own way) - $500 (per person)
Unemployed/Full-Time Student Rate (for those who are not working or are full-time students - we may ask for you to send us details of this status) - $250 (per person)
