join us Sunday, April 27th, 10:30am-12:30PM MST at Worth the Fight Boxing & Fitness Studio with Gladys Santiago for an intro boxing class where we can move our bodies, learn new skills, and release the stress, anger, and frustration that comes with grief & grieving.
Worth The Fight Boxing is an independent fitness studio in downtown Denver, offering boxing, kickboxing, strength trainging, HIIT, and yoga bootcamp classes.
"The format will be an 8-minute warm-up, 3min boxing demo followed by 7 3-minute rounds with optional active recoveries in between. The combos will be simple and easy to follow." no prior experience necessary!
processing grief comes in so many different forms and sometimes we really do just need to hit shit. it’s empowering to learn how to box, to feel strong, to lift the heaviness of grief, and move together. with that said, i also grieve that chronic illness is now limiting my body so much that i can’t show up to the activities i love in the same ways. movement doesn’t always feel good; it can make pain worse. i’m gonna show up how i am, even if that means i’m not doing much. i want to invite everyone who’s interested to participate at whatever capacity feels good--no expectations.
