About this Event
There are no end of books about rum, gin, whiskey and whatnot. But nobody has ever really looked at the spirits trade as a whole. At what all the various spirits have in common (besides C2H5OH), rather than what distinguishes them from each other.
James Beard Award-winning author Dave Wondrich sketches out what a story of the global spirits trade might look like. He outlines what we know, more or less, and what we really don't know at all. He discusses the difficulties and pitfalls of writing such a history and makes a case for what we might gain from it.
What we might understand better, value more or less, and use to better our place in this industry, and this world.
Presented by ISC & In partnership with Campari Academy.
