About this Event
“Das ist doch krank! /Sick and Tired” is a bilingual cabaret, open stage, and storytelling event that humorously addresses the topics of disability, chronic illness, and situations involving the healthcare system in general.
It is aimed at anyone who is either affected themselves or who would like to learn more about these topics and exchange ideas.
A special feature of this event is that people from the audience can participate spontaneously by registering for the “Tell your story – open stage segment” shortly before the show begins and sharing their own story on stage. How they present it is up to them. Dance, singing, poetry, or simply storytelling... there are virtually no limits to creativity! The only requirements are that the performance does not exceed a time limit of 6 minutes, fits the theme of the show, and is based on personal experience.
To register for the open stage segment, all you need to do is fill out a registration form (available at the box office), have a short meeting with the presenter at the agreed meeting point 20 minutes before the show starts, and, if music is used in the performance, bring it on a USB stick and make it available to the DJ. Then all you have to do wait until your name is announced and you can take the stage!
Anyone who would like to share a few words with the audience or ask a question can do so anonymously via the “Sick Bucket,” for which they simply write something on the slips of paper provided and then throw the slip into the designated bucket. On February 22, 2026, “Das ist doch krank! /Sick and Tired” (with a few weeks‘ delay) will kick off the new year with burlesque, drag, and sideshow performances. There will also be a raffle with many interesting prizes and an after-show party with sparkling wine, with or without alcohol! And at the “Mini Market Place,” there will be fashion and handmade items to admire and, of course, purchase. All goods are offered by people with disabilities or chronic illnesses.
Admission is at 5 p.m. The show starts at 6 p.m.
Tickets are available for €20 at the box office €15 in advance, €10 reduced for students and low-income earners (upon presentation of appropriate proof), €8 for former volunteers (upon presentation of proof), €5 for companions of persons with a severe disability card marked “B.” Accessibility: The venue has an accessible restroom.
