Cantores Chamber Choir directed by Simon Harper invites you to a reflective concert of choral music inspired by the seasons of Lent and Passiontide. At the heart of the programme is one of Bach’s best-loved motets, Jesu, meine Freude, paired with James MacMillan’s profoundly moving setting of the Miserere. These powerful works are complemented by motets from the Renaissance masters Lassus, Byrd and Schütz, alongside evocative 20th-century English music by Howells and Sanders.
