A Danko Jones sallangmentes rockzenét játszik, immáron 30 éve stabil sarokpontjai a műfajnak, itthon is több fesztiválon és koncerten hallhattuk őket. A zenekar novemberben jelentette meg legújabb nagylemezét, a Leo Risingot, amelyet október 15-én Budapestre is elhoznak, az A38 Hajóra.
A kanadai Danko Jones 1996-ban alakult, nevét az alapító énekes-gitáros után kapta. A zenekar eredetileg nem akart albumokat kiadni, sokáig csak a koncertezéssel szerzett hírnévre építettek, első nagylemezük végül 2002-ben látott napvilágot. Azóta persze belelendültek ebbe is, a november 21-én megjelent Leo Rising már a 12. stúdióalbumuk. Az anyag ezúttal is a Juno-díjas producer, Eric Ratz közreműködésével készült. A lemez dalait mind a rádiók, mind a közönség hamar felkapták, őszi európai turnéjuk az eddigi legsikeresebbnek bizonyult, ahol több koncertet nagyobb helyszínre költöztettek vagy dupláztak, mert előzetesen elkelt rájuk az összes jegy.
A Danko Jones hamisíthatatlan rock’n’roll dalokat szállít, amik dallamosak és könnyen énekelhetők, koncertjeik igazi rock bulik, ahol a frontember ceremóniamesterként mindig képes rátenni pár lapáttal a hangulatra. Nem csoda, hogy a zenekar már fellépett az összes európai nagy fesztiválon, mint a Reading, a Download, a Hurricane, a Wacken, a Roskilde, a Sweden Rock, a Greenfield, a Nova Rock vagy éppen a Sziget. Nálunk legutoljára 2024-ben jártak a Campus Fesztiválon, de előtte már számos alkalommal bizonyították, hogy a Danko Jones neve garancia az önfeledt rock estére, ahol nincs mellébeszélés. Most is egy ilyen állati bulira készülhetünk a Leo Rising lemezbemutatójával és a régi kedvencekkel október 15-én, az A38 Hajón. Előttük a brit Split Dogs melegít be.

Danko Jones delivers no-frills rock music and has been a steady cornerstone of the genre for 30 years. Hungarian audiences have already seen them at several festivals and concerts. The band released their latest studio album, Leo Rising, in November, which they will also bring to Budapest on October 15 at A38 Hajó.
The Canadian Danko Jones was formed in 1996 and named after its founding singer-guitarist. Originally, the band had no intention of releasing albums: for a long time, they built their reputation purely on live performances. Their debut full-length record finally saw the light of day in 2002. Since then, Leo Rising - released on November 21 -, is already their 12th studio album. Once again, the material was produced with the involvement of Juno Award–winning producer Eric Ratz. The songs were quickly picked up by both radio stations and audiences alike, and their autumn European tour proved to be their most successful to date, with several shows moved to larger venues or doubled after tickets sold out in advance.
Danko Jones consistently delivers authentic rock’n’roll anthems: melodic, catchy, and easy to sing along to. Their concerts are true rock parties, with the frontman acting as a master of ceremonies who always knows how to crank up the atmosphere. It’s no surprise that the band has performed at all major European festivals, including Reading Festival, Download Festival, Hurricane Festival, Wacken Open Air, Roskilde Festival, Sweden Rock Festival, Greenfield Festival, Nova Rock, and Sziget Festival. They last performed in Hungary in 2024 at Campus Fesztivál, but even before that, they had proven numerous times that the name Danko Jones guarantees an uninhibited rock night with no nonsense. This time, we can once again expect a wild party featuring songs from Leo Rising alongside old favorites on October 15 at A38. Their support band will be the British Split Dogs.
