About this Event
Described by legendary composer Leo Brouwer as “a performer with a very rare combination of energy, expression and perfect technique”, Daniela Rossi has captivated audiences throughout Europe and the Americas. Now based in Cambridge, she is known both for her expressive interpretations of Romantic repertoire and her close collaborations with contemporary composers, many of whom have written new works specifically for her.
We will also be celebrating the release of two new albums recorded by Daniela with the renowned engineer John Taylor: Homages – Music by John W. Duarte (Brilliant Classics, 2025) and Dušan Bogdanović: Solo Guitar Works (Naxos, 2025), featuring several premiere recordings and pieces dedicated to her.
Winner of international competitions in London, Germany, and Chile, Daniela continues to be recognised for her poetic artistry and compelling technique.
“…you are a really special poetic artist who at the same time has great intellectual clarity, two things that don’t come together very often”.
Dušan Bogdanović
“…It was immediately apparent that this performer had great strength of purpose that came from an internal, intuitive understanding of how the most subtle of expressions could be effectively portrayed”.
